Skool → MP4 on your disk
Download Skool videos to your own computer
Pick a lesson, pick a quality, pick a folder. The file lands on your drive as an ordinary MP4 that plays in anything, with no player, no screen recording, and no upload.
What you actually get
One lesson, one file
- File name
- 01 - Welcome.mp4
- Container
- MP4, H.264 video with AAC audio
- Quality
- 1080p, the rendition the source published
- Re-encoded
- No. Original bytes, remuxed.
- Size
- 412 MB
- Written to
- the folder you chose, on your disk
- Also saved
- 01 - Welcome.md, when lesson text exists
Example values. Actual quality and size depend on what the lesson publishes. Subtitles are not downloaded in v1.
Compared with the usual workarounds
Why not just record the screen
Screen recording
Runs in real time, so a 40 hour course takes 40 hours. Picks up notifications, cursor movement and compression artefacts, and produces one enormous file per sitting.
Generic video downloader extensions
They wait for a media request to appear, which means opening each lesson and pressing play first. They also cannot read Skool native video, because it is only requested once a player mounts.
Using a manual download service
A third party may ask for access to your browser session. That creates a trust and account-security decision that a local extension avoids.
This extension
Reads the lesson reference directly, fetches the original segments, assembles the MP4 in your browser, and writes it where you told it to.

Which Skool videos can be downloaded
Skool lessons embed video from several places. Which one a lesson uses decides what you get.

The extension uses the access your own account already has. It does not bypass permissions, paywalls, or DRM.
Beyond one video
Downloading one whole course instead
If you are about to lose access, downloading lesson by lesson is the slow way to do it. The same extension exports the entire course tree at once, in order, in a single run.

Pricing
Single lessons are free
Paid plans unlock bulk export. Payment is handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, and we never see your card details.
Questions
About the downloaded files
What format are the downloaded videos?
MP4, with the video and audio tracks combined into a single file. Nothing is re-encoded, so the picture is the same quality as the stream you were served.
The assembly happens inside your browser. There is no upload and no conversion server.
Can I choose the quality?
Yes. You set one preference for the run: best available, capped at 1080p, capped at 720p, or smallest. The extension picks the closest rendition each source actually publishes and shows an estimated total size before it starts.
Do I have to play the video first?
No. The video reference is read from the course data Skool already sends to your browser, so nothing has to be mounted in a player first.
What are the downloaded files called?
Lesson position, then lesson title, then the extension: 01 - Welcome.mp4. Characters your filesystem cannot store are replaced, and files are placed inside a numbered folder for their module.
How many videos can I download for free?
5 single lesson downloads per rolling week, with no signup and no card. Queuing one complete course in a run is the paid capability.
Will it download a video I have not paid for?
No. Skool only issues a playback token for lessons your account is allowed to watch. Without one, the video host refuses the request and the lesson is recorded as skipped with the reason.
